Chris Linkovitch – Maine maestro, hardcore hero.
Long-time vocalist of Cruel Hand, he’s remained a pillar of Maine hardcore for over twenty years. Linked to H20 and Bane, Chris paved the way for countless others in this community. Highly decorated, his current role in TERROR is just one of many accolades…
Off the stage, Chris is restless – promoting, blogging, archiving:
‘Cheap Life Records’ stormed the scene, flooding Maine with premier acts in metal and hardcore (Converge, Madball, SPY). Like a spider in its web, Chris pulls on musical threads, friendships woven across time…
‘New England Hardcore Shows’ is a digital archive, sharing iconic videos of The Kave, South Paris Church, and more – cataloging the rich history of our home.
So, the past inspires the present –
Local noisemakers – from Gasoline Dream, Gumskab, Secret Work and beyond – are mentored by Chris, tackling A-list opportunities with ease.
On Monday, Boston icons, Bane, sold out the Portland House of Music alongside some incredible local acts:
Peace Breaker, well… broke the peace! Earning their stripes, the Portland outfit opened to a full house. Winning great praise, the band stunned with signature tracks like ‘Insignificant’ and an unforgettable take on the Allman Brothers.
Infernal Diatribe was no sophomore slump.
Riding the high from Surging Violence – their stainless 2023 release – these guys SHOOK the room. Chaos reigned, turning the floor to a gauntlet of fists and flying bodies… I ain’t even gonna’ lie… When ‘Traversal’ hit, I was feelin’ hot!
